  • A great local restaurant! Very fast paced service, great seafood & really nice sangria! Staff may seem standoffish/stern but they are lovely people. Highly recommend if you want some local food! We went back a second time because the seafood was delicious! If you are going in a big group i would advise booking in advance. For just 2 people the wait was nothing.

  • We were here on a Monday and had to wait quite long to get a table for two. We had excellently fried squid with fries and tasty grouper with potatoes and vegetables. A recommended place for classic Portuguese cuisine with a no frills style.

  • Good local restaurant. Everything was okay but can’t say it’s a five star place for sure. But it’s definitely worth trying if you’re nearby or even drive here. We’d visit this place a second time just to try something else and see maybe we missed a point )

  • The menu is only in Portuguese so if you’re a tourist with a lot of trust in the waiter, just ask him to recommend a dish (seafood or meat). It’ll be great and not expensive at all. There’s a large alcohol selection to go with your meal and once again, just trust the waiter to recommend something that’ll go well. It’s a common thing in Portugal that bread and olives are offered before a meal, usually for a price so if you don’t want it, just tell them no. The restaurant starts getting crowded at 7:45 and by 8 you’ll have to stand in line for a table. Service is really fast, friendly, and efficient.

  • Incredible traditional fare in this local spot. The Morcela was a huge portion and delicious. The Bacalhau à Lagareiro was exceptional and the best fish I've had in a while. Make sure to book this place gets packed very quickly.

  • The food was amazing and the staff was accommodating. This place was a stand out restaurant for my holiday. We had garlic prawns, muscles, sirloin steak and tuna steak. The garlic prawns are a must have when coming here. The menu and staff speak Portuguese but you can get away with using google lense. Try to arrive at 7 when they open to avoid waiting.
